Sustainability
Limente is involved in many renovation and new construction projects in Finland, which means that the sustainability of our operations contributes to the sustainable development of the environment in many ways.
At Limente, sustainability is an integral part of our daily operations and decision-making. To us, sustainability means taking sustainable development into account in every area of our business. Ecological responsibility is one of the most important criteria in the development of our product range. Our skilled team continuously works on development to ensure that each new collection is even better, more efficient, and above all more environmentally friendly. Our goal in product development and throughout the product lifecycle is to consider ecological values and sustainable development at every stage. We operate in accordance with the certified ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system and comply with all environmental laws and regulations.
Limente has a comprehensive environmental program, and we regularly monitor the achievement of its goals. These targets cover all areas of our operations, including our own activities, the environmental impact of our products, and our carbon footprint. For example, improving the energy efficiency of our luminaires is one of our ongoing objectives. In all our operations, we recognize our responsibility for the environment and the environmental impacts of our activities. Our goal is a lifecycle-based operating model that emphasizes environmental care, continuous improvement, and minimizing the environmental impact of our operations.
Packaging materials
We want to promote environmental well-being and reduce the amount of plastic ending up in the environment. Since 2018, we have minimized the use of plastic in our packaging materials. In 2025, we began transitioning to brown packaging to reduce emissions caused by packaging dyes and to improve recyclability.
Most products will be delivered in brown cardboard packaging during 2026. However, the paper protective bag used in LED strip packaging contains a foil lining on the inside to ensure product preservation.

Responsible recycling
We are registered with Rinki Ltd’s environmental packaging register, which organizes the collection of consumer packaging in Finland. In addition, we are members of SERTY, which manages the recycling of electrical and electronic products for its member companies in Finland. Consumers can return end-of-life LIMENTE products free of charge to recycling points maintained by SERTY. In this way, we support the reuse of packaging materials and help prevent environmental harm.
